Express to Play Astros In Exhibition

(ROUND ROCK, TX) – Fans will have the opportunity to see the upper three levels of the Houston Astros organization in action in April at The Dell Diamond. On Friday, April 1, the Express will host the 2004 National League Wild Card Champion Houston Astros. The game time is set for 6:05 PM. Two days later, on April 3, the Express will play host to the Corpus Christi Hooks in a game that will feature the two top affiliates in the Astros’ farm system and the two teams owned by Ryan-Sanders Baseball. First pitch will be at 2:05 PM.

Tickets for the exhibition games go on sale February 26. Tickets for the Express versus Astros game will be $20 for Box and Reserved Seats, $15 for Home Run Porch Seats and $10 for General Admission seats. Express season ticket holders will have the opportunity to purchase tickets in advance. For the Express versus Hooks exhibition game, ticket prices are $5 for the public and free to ExpressÂ’ and HooksÂ’ season ticket holders. “This is a tremendous opportunity for the fans of Central Texas to see their first glimpse of the 2005 Houston Astros as well as the brand new Triple-A Express and Double-A Hooks. We feel very fortunate that we have such a strong relationship with the Astros that we are able to bring these games to The Dell Diamond,” says Express President Jay Miller.

The Express open the 2005 Triple-A Pacific Coast League season at home against the Omaha Royals on April 7 at 7:05 PM. The Hooks will open their 2005 Double-A Texas League season on April 7 in San Antonio. Corpus ChristiÂ’s home opener is slated for Sunday, April 17 against the Midland RockHounds.
