Its the return to action for both teams after the All-Star Break and the first and only meeting of the season between the RiverKings and the Cotton Kings. Lubbock leads the Southwest Division of the C.H.L. by two points over Amarillo, Memphis opponent tomorrow night. The Cotton Kings have lost five of their last seven while the RiverKings have won two of their last three but have still dropped eight of the last ten. Lubbock is led by All-Star forward Anders Strome with 17 goals and 28 points. Their other All-Star representitives were defenseman Derick Martin (4g,14a) and netminder Lance Leslie (13-8-2, 2.34 G.A.A.).

RIVERKINGS PREGAME NOTES

Forward Scott Young has been granted an emergency leave of absence by the league to attend to family matters at home. Young had two goals and one assist in three games played.

Forward Don Parsons and Defenseman Derek Landmesser have returned to the team from the All-Star festivities earlier this week in Laredo. The Northern Conference defeated the Southern Conference in a wild 14-13 shoot-out that saw three significant records fall...

Greg Pankewicz (COL) CHL All-Star Game records with nine points and five goals. The teams combined for a CHL All-Star record 147 shots. The teams combined for a CHL All-Star record 27 goals.

Parsons chipped in a goal while Landmesser had an assist in the game. With his seven career goals, Parsons is the all-time All-Star Game career goal leader and he is tied with Pankewicz for the all-time points lead at 13.

The tape-delayed broadcast of the 2005 C.H.L. All-Star Game will be tonight on Fox Sports Net-Southwest. FSN-SW is available on Direct-TV channel 643 and Dish Network channel 416 for those who subscribe to those providers sports packages. The three Memphis area Buffalo Wild Wings will also be featuring the game on their televisions tonight. The rebroadcast begins at 7pm.

Please note that Monday afternoons game at New Mexico will be broadcast on 96.1FM, WYYL. The games tonight and tomorrow night will be on 560AM, Sports 56-WHBQ.
